About

Piers Nicklin is a Californian and Kenyan, growing up both surfing the Pacific Ocean and living remotely in the African bush, always on safari. He’s currently studying at the University of California, Santa Barbara, majoring in Environmental Studies with a minor in Earth Science.

Picking up his first camera at the age of 10, Piers is an internationally recognised wildlife and landscape photographer, with a passion for documentary filmmaking; focusing on wildlife and ecosystem conservation.

His work is drawn from extensive field experience as a conservationist, diver, surfer, and birder — with a strong background in wildlife fieldwork in East Africa.

Piers’ goal is to use his knowledge and skills toward sustainable solutions for our most pressing environmental challenges, while continuing to view the world and wildlife both up close and from behind a lens.
